Fun Facts About Plants vs. Zombies!
The Power of Positivity (and Sun!)
In the game, the Sunflower is the most important plant of all. While other plants shoot peas or freeze enemies, the Sunflower dances happily to produce “Sun.” This solar energy acts like a battery, allowing the player to grow more defenses. Without these cheerful, bobbing flowers, the lawn would be overrun in no time!
Safety First… Sort Of?
Have you noticed some Zombies wearing strange hats? They aren’t just making a fashion statement! In the Plants vs. Zombies universe, a zombie wearing a bright orange road cone or a galvanized metal bucket is significantly tougher than a regular one. These everyday objects act as improvised armor, requiring extra firepower (and extra coloring patience) to defeat.
The Mystery of Crazy Dave
The player’s neighbor, known as “Crazy Dave,” is the eccentric shopkeeper who sells upgrades and hints. What makes him truly unique is his language. He doesn’t speak English; instead, he communicates in a series of gibberish sounds like “Wabby Wabbo!” Yet, somehow, he always manages to get his point across to save the neighborhood.
Coloring Tips for Your Plants vs. Zombies Masterpiece
- Mastering the “Undead” Tone: When coloring the Zombies, don’t settle for a plain green. Try blending a pale olive green with a touch of grey or light blue. This gives their skin that classic, spooky, yet cartoonish “zombie” look. Will these zombies look scary, or just a little bit silly?
- Creating Metallic Textures: Many zombies wear metal protection, like buckets or screen doors. To make these objects look hard and shiny, leave small white spaces or use a white colored pencil to add “highlights” where the light would hit the metal. Contrast this with dark grey shading to give the object weight and dimension.
- Setting the Scene: Is the battle happening during the day or at night? The background color changes the mood entirely. Use bright sky blues and sunny yellows for a Daytime level to make the plants pop. For a Night level, use deep purples, dark blues, and blacks – this will make glowing plants like the Sun-shroom or gloom-shroom look neon and electric!
